In the final analysis, Christianity cannot be proven. The truth about what Jesus taught, and who He was (and is) must be accepted by faith. But not blind faith. The preponderance of evidence has long afforded a persuasive and convincing case for the veracity of historic orthodox Christian teaching. Thanks to the Internet, that evidence is more readily available today than ever before. Any sincere seeker has only to access a few of the vast number of web pages that present and defend Christianity in order to be confronted with this evidence. If you have yet to invest your faith in the Person of Jesus Christ, let me encourage you to visit one or two of the web sites listed below with as objective an approach as possible. And then be willing to act honestly on the basis of the evidence. Leadership U. is one of the largest and most impressive Christian apologetic web sites on the Internet. It describes itself as "a virtual university with a distinct focus: Jesus Christ", and invites visitors to "Enjoy our resource-base of well-written, well-researched articles, essays and reviews...[also finding] out how you can get involved on a local campus." Leadership U. is a joint project of Christian Leadership Ministries and The Campus Ministry, part of Campus Crusade for Christ, International. Following is an edited excerpt from an article by Paul Little, just one of scores of articles in the apologetics section of this site: "The only theory that adequately explains the empty tomb is the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. If Jesus Christ rose from the dead, proving He is God, He is alive today. He is willing...to come into our lives. Jesus said, 'Be-hold, I stand at the door [of your heart] and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him...' (Revelation 3:20). The late Carl Gustav Jung said, 'The central neurosis of our time is emptiness.' All of us have a deep longing for our life to have meaning and depth. Jesus offers us a more meaningful, abundant life, which comes through a relationship with Him. Jesus said, 'I came that they might have life, and have it abundantly' (John 10:10). Because Jesus died on the cross, taking with Him all of humankind's sin, He now offers us forgiveness, acceptance and a genuine relationship with Him. Right now you can invite Jesus Christ into your life. You could say to Him something like, 'Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I ask You to forgive me and to come into my life right now. Thank You for giving me a relationship with You.'"
